It’s strawberry season and though I only have a small strawberry patch, strawberries are coming in by the bucket loads. Right now I have more strawberries than I know what to do with. So besides gifting them to neighbors, I’m preserving them for when strawberry season comes to an end. Here’s how I do it. It’s simple and no additives like sugar are needed.
Lay them on a cookie sheet and place them in the freezer until they freeze solid.
Break them off the cookie sheet and put them into freezer bags and date them. Strawberries will last up to a year in the freezer. Strawberry season will last all year if you freeze enough up.
